These do take time to make, but when I make them, we never have leftovers:
Fried Won Tons
1 pound minced pork/beef/shrimp
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp cornstarch
6 tsp soy sauce
3-4 green onion
1 can water chestnuts
1tsp fresh ginger
3 cloves fresh garlic (crushed)
1. Mix all ingredients together
2. Place by tsp full on won ton skins and fold into triangle
3. Cook in hot cooking oil until golden brown
Mandarin Sauce
1 cup whole tomatoes
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 slice fresh ginger 1/8" thick
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 cup bell peppers cut up
salt to taste
1/2 cup crushed pineapple
Combine everything but green peppers. Bring to boil. Simmer 20 minutes over low flame. Add cornstarch to thicken. Add green peppers and serve. |
